Antares or Doofinder?
Both run outside your shop and hook into Shopware through a plugin. The difference is not “finds more”, it is how far the search reaches into Shopware and what you measure it by.
Short version: if you look after several shop systems and need one solid search for all of them, Doofinder is a sensible choice. If your business runs on Shopware and you want to know what search earns in euros, we are built for that.
What Doofinder does well
It runs everywhere
Doofinder is not tied to Shopware. If your portfolio spans WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shopify and Shopware, you learn one tool and use it everywhere. That is a real advantage, and we do not have it: Antares is Shopware only.
It is established
The product has been around for years, with a lot of installations, correspondingly settled software, and a community that already knows the answers to the usual questions. We are new and we do not pretend otherwise.
It is cheap to start
Its entry package sits at around €39 a month, below ours — that is where our research had it in August 2026. If €10 a month decides it, that is an argument we are not going to talk away.
Where Antares differs
- Shopware, right down to the prices
- Antares knows every variant, every price tier and every currency your sales channel carries, so the search shows the same price as the product page. From Scale, signed-in B2B customers see their own prices, and only theirs. A product that has to serve five shop systems can hardly take that as far for each one.
- The proof is in euros
- Antares attributes every order to the search that started it and shows you, per sales channel, how much revenue came out of it, where conversion stands and how many searches were rescued. That is the point of the product: you should be able to work out whether the €99 pays for itself.
- Germany, with no add-on
- Our servers are in Germany and they are ours. The AI search runs on those same servers: nothing goes to OpenAI or any other US service, and there is nothing to add on.

When you should not switch
If Shopware is one of four shop systems for you, do not buy four searches. If your catalogue is under a thousand items and nobody complains about search, you probably need neither product. And if your purchasing team keeps no margins in the product data, you would be paying us for exactly the thing you then cannot use.

Existing synonym lists go up as a CSV in the panel. A customer sees nothing new until you publish in the panel, and if you do not like the result you roll it back with one click.
